Questions

Who is Adcom Advantage for?

Adcom Advantage serves high-performing pre-med students who are serious about gaining admission to competitive medical schools. Our clients typically have strong academic credentials and meaningful experiences but need strategic guidance to present themselves most effectively. We also work with reapplicants, non-traditional applicants, and students facing specific challenges like GPA gaps or career transitions.

How is this different from other admissions consulting services?

Most admissions consulting services offer editing and generic coaching. Adcom Advantage is built on insider experience. Dr. C has served as a medical school interviewer, admissions committee participant, and residency admissions evaluator. This direct evaluative experience—combined with her own path from Ivy League undergraduate to Top 20 medical school on scholarship—creates a strategic perspective that no amount of secondhand research can replicate.

What does the free intro call include?

The intro call is a focused strategic conversation. Dr. C will discuss your background, goals, and current application positioning. You will receive honest, actionable insight about what matters most and whether Adcom Advantage is the right fit.

How many clients do you work with each cycle?

We intentionally limit our client roster to ensure every applicant receives Dr. C's full strategic attention. The exact number varies by cycle, but we prioritize quality of engagement over volume. Early engagement is recommended to secure your spot.

How do I know which level of support is right for me?

That is one of the main goals of the intro call. Dr. C will look at your timing, your application needs, and how developed your current strategy is, then recommend the clearest next step.

What happens after the intro call?

If there is a fit, you will leave the call knowing exactly what kind of support makes sense and what the next steps would look like. If there is not a fit, you will still leave with clarity about your best path forward.

When should I start working with you?

The earlier, the better. Ideally, clients engage 3-6 months before they plan to submit their primary application. However, we also support applicants on accelerated timelines and during active cycles. The intro call is the best way to assess timing for your specific situation.

Do you help with DO applications, Canadian medical schools, or Caribbean schools?

Our primary expertise is in AMCAS-based MD applications in the United States. However, many of the strategic principles apply across application systems. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.

What if I'm a reapplicant?

Reapplicants are among our most successful clients. Dr. C has specific expertise in diagnosing why prior applications failed and repositioning your narrative for a stronger second attempt. If you have been rejected, that experience is not a liability—it is data that informs a better strategy.

What is your success rate?

We do not publish a singular "success rate" because admissions outcomes depend on many factors beyond consulting—academic record, MCAT scores, experience quality, and school selection. What we can say: our clients consistently report that the strategic positioning they received was the most impactful investment in their application process.
